Toxicities of vitamin and trace mineral can directly affect the bird performance and more commonly cause an antagonism of other nutrient systems. It seems that high intake of fat-soluble vitamins is not suitable even it can be harmful and also, they caused toxicity and disorder the metabolism of the animal. An example vitamin A which appears to increase the birds need for vitamin D3. Toxic effects of vitamin A can be corrected by feeding high levels of vitamin D3 to diet. Toxic levels of vitamin E also disrupt calcium and phosphorus metabolism, while moderately high levels of vitamin D3 and especially metabolites such as vitamin D3 could cause aberrations in circulating calcium concentrations. As in the case of copper, added as a treatment / prevention of enteric disorders can cause toxicity. High intake of fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamin A, D3 and E can adversely affect the other mineral or vitamins compounds, all of which should be considered when do ration formulation in poultry. Generally slight change in some of the vitamins and trace minerals in the poultry diet can caused toxicity.
