The timely, easy, and rapid dissemination of research findings and scientific discoveries has always been a primary concern for faculty members, students at various academic levels (especially postgraduates), and experts in scientific communities both nationally and internationally. To achieve this, scientific research and specialized journals are published, and seminars, conferences, specialized meetings, and scientific congresses are regularly organized in different countries. Today, researchers can easily access published information and relevant lectures online.

In Iran, scientific communities have been growing and conducting a wide range of research. Organizing scientific congresses and conferences has been a consistent priority. In the field of Animal Science Engineering, a significant amount of research is conducted annually, including postgraduate theses, dissertations, and research by faculty members of universities and research centers. This has led to significant scientific and research achievements due to the presence of numerous animal science departments, research centers, and institutes.

In order to promote the exchange of scientific information among faculty members and students at different academic levels, as well as organizations, research institutes, and related disciplines, universities have established scientific-student associations for each field. These associations are authorized to operate and facilitate the publication of scientific results in a format that promotes scientific research. This includes scientific-promotional and scientific-specialized publications, which cover various branches of animal science and make the information easily accessible to interested parties.

The Scientific-Student Association of the Department of Animal Science Engineering at the University of Tehran and its affiliated publication 'Domestic' have been pursuing its mission for approximately 23 years. This association has published 23 volumes of the journal and received several accolades in national and international festivals. Now, the Scientific-Student Association leading in organizing the 'First International and Second National Conference of Domestic Journal' under the theme 'The Linkage of Science and Industry; The Key to Organizing Internships and Academic Research'. This initiative follows the successful organization of the first scientific conference of the Domestic Journal.

The conference aims to introduce the best articles received in various fields during the 2023-2024 period. Also, it will feature national and international presentations, fostering scientific exchanges, and addressing the issues and needs of the country's livestock industry. In this regard, there are plans for this scientific conference to be held at a broader, international level in the coming years. This will be made possible through the collaboration of organizations, universities, animal science research institutes in the country, and various sponsors who are active in the field of livestock and poultry.
